A man in Florida is still reeling after an encounter with a police officer.
The officer stopped him for a traffic violation and the situation quickly escalated.
“This is how you guys get killed out here man.”
Those fearful words came from a Miami Dade police officer. He said it to a driver during a traffic stop.
Gerardson Nicolas was on his way to work when he was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt. The 29-year-old says he feared for his life in that moment.
“I can’t stop thinking about it. Still do this day, I can’t,” he said.

Anti-Black violence like this has some people wondering if they are really free.
