The founder of ABHM, Dr. Cameron, is an MATC graduate, as well as several other prominent figures in Milwaukee including Clayborn Benson, founder of Wisconsin Black Historical Society & Museum (WBHSM), and Reuben Harpole, affectionately known as the "Second Mayor of Milwaukee."
